Geostat project Data Providers Survey released
The GEOSTAT Data Providers Survey is released, aiming to collect information on availability and dissemination of the grid based statistics. The survey will remain open until 01.12.2010.
Over half of the users need geostatistics on 1×1 km and 100×100 m grids
A recent User Needs Survey underlined the importance of grid based statistics of 1 km x 1 km and 100 x 100 m grid cell sizes.
16 persons attended the first Geostat face-to-face meeting
On 8 October 2010, the GEOSTAT project team held a joint meeting in Tallinn, Estonia. The meeting focused on the four GEOSTAT work packages.
Ireland member of EFGS
National Statistical Institute of Ireland is now member of EFGS. The national contact for Ireland is Dermot Corcoran.
29 countries participated at EFGS 2010
Geostatisticians and GIS persons from 29 countries participated in the 2010 EFGS Conference, 5-7 October in Tallinn, Estonia.
