Over half of the users need geostatistics on 1×1 km and 100×100 m grids
A recent User Needs Survey underlined the importance of grid based statistics of 1 km x 1 km and 100 x 100 m grid cell sizes.
16 persons attended the first Geostat face-to-face meeting
On 8 October 2010, the GEOSTAT project team held a joint meeting in Tallinn, Estonia. The meeting focused on the four GEOSTAT work packages.

Geostatisticians and GIS persons from 29 countries participated in the 2010 EFGS Conference, 5-7 October in Tallinn, Estonia.
Åland member of EFGS
Statistics Åland is now a member of EFGS, represented by Iris Åkerberg (national contact point) and Richard Palmer.
