The EFGS 2025, held in Oslo (Norway), being hosted and organised by Statistics Norway, was a special event as this edition included pre-conference activities related to training on the day before the conference (23rd September). The pre-conference day included 10 workshops that provided a more hands-on experience to gain knowledge and upscale specific skills in certain action areas and topics.
The main event took place on 24th and 25th September and focused on the “Trusted data, in changing Europe” motto, covering issues related to frameworks in both statistical and geospatial communities, new technological solutions (e.g., cloud and open sources, AI/ML, etc.), GIS tools for statistical-geospatial data integration, among others.
