Description

The objective of the this case study is to demonstrate how building register data can be combined with land use data and earth observation data to follow changes in vegetation caused by construction and land use change. In this particular case, conduced within GEOSTAT 1B, MODIS data was used. In recent years, the access to open high-resolution earth observation data has increased dramatically, in particular through the Copernicus programme. The workflow described in the use case is still relevant, even though other data sources (e.g. Sentinel-2) may be used instead of MODIS data.
