The Real Property Register – authoritative location data for geocoding within the NSDI
Keywords
Principle 1, location data, addresses, buildings, cadastral parcels, geospatial infrastructure, point-based foundation
Description
The GSGF Europe requests countries to use authoritative data from NSDIs and to use point-based geospatial reference data for geocoding. This use case describes the Swedish Real Property Register as an authoritative location data framework for geocoding. Furthermore, it demonstrates how different geospatial objects (cadastral parcels, buildings and addresses) can be hierarchically and consistently linked to each other, to form one national and uniform geocoding infrastructure.
