A dataset series of 1 km² grids GRID_ETRS89_LAEA_1K according to the INSPIRE technical guidelines on geographical grids http://inspire.jrc.ec.europa.eu/documents/Data_Specifications/INSPIRE_Specification_GGS_v3.0.1.pdf .

The Eurostat grid generation tool for ArcGIS used to generate these grids works in ArcGIS 10.0 desktop and allows the generation of raster and vector grids of various cell sizes with an INSPIRE compliant grid cell code.
