The President of EFGS, Mr. Janusz Dygaszewicz participated in the Seventh Session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM) which was held from 31 July – 4 August 2017 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Preceded by a number of related side events from 31 July – 1 August 2017, the Seventh Session of UN-GGIM (2-4 August 2017) was brought together almost 400 delegates – senior officials and executives from about 90 national geospatial information and statistical authorities within Member States and international geospatial experts.
During the formal session, the Committee elected its Bureau – United States (re-elected), China (re-elected), the Netherlands (new) and Cameroon (new).
