On March 8-11, the 47th Session of the United Nations Statistical Commission took place in New York. In a side event, the use of geospatial and earth observation data inputs into the targets and indicators of the SDGs were discussed.
The meeting aimed to demonstrate how such data could be part of a comprehensive and coordinated national statistical system to monitor the state of the Earth, and to deliver timely information necessary to citizens, organizations and governments to build accountability and make good, evidenced-based decisions.
The meeting was recorded and streamed through the UN Web TV. Have a look at the meeting here.
